Is Feeld a hookup app? What its own pages and rules say

Feeld's app page says it can be used for hookups; its FAQ says the label sounds limiting. What its guidelines, filters and paid tier actually say.

Is Feeld a hookup app? It can be, but Feeld answers the question two ways. Its app page says Feeld “can be used for hookups” alongside long-term relationships and friendships; its FAQ says calling itself a hookup app “sounds limiting”. Its community guidelines welcome personal use but bar erotic and sexual solicitation on the app.

This is an evergreen explainer. It answers the question from Feeld’s own pages, read by this desk on 19 October 2026, rather than from the forum threads that usually come up for it. The short version: casual connection is openly part of what Feeld is for, but the operator markets a wider range than hookups, and its rules turn on consent, solicitation and what a profile may show.

Is Feeld a hookup app, according to its own pages?

Feeld gives two answers to the same question on two pages. The FAQ section of its app page says: “Feeld can be used for hookups. But people use our app for everything from casual fun to long-term relationships and finding soul mates in friends.” It adds, as the operator’s own claim, “There’s no swiping and no pressure to meet up IRL.”

Its general FAQ answers the identical question differently: “Calling ourselves a hookup app sounds limiting.” It goes on to describe “short and long-term connections, and different relationship styles—not just hookups.” Neither answer rules hookups out; one names them, the other declines the label.

PageWhat it says
App page FAQ“Can be used for hookups”, also casual fun, long-term relationships and friendships

Is Feeld only for hookups?

Not on its product description. The app page says members can link profiles with up to five other members (“partners, besties, doms, subs”) and start group chats, and can choose from 20+ sexuality and gender options and change them as often as they like. The general FAQ lists Paired profiles for couples and a Desires and Interests list covering what members are into, “in and out of the bedroom”. A mutual Like makes a Connection, and chat opens from there.

The paid tier matters here. The app page says Majestic membership unlocks going Incognito, filtering by Desires, and unlimited Likes, while the Freemium tier covers exploring, Liking and starting conversations, with Pings and Uplift sold as consumables. The general FAQ lists Majestic differently: see who likes you, one free Ping a day and Unlimited Likes. Neither page this desk read states a price. On the app page’s own list, the filter most directly about what people want sits behind the paywall.

What do Feeld’s rules allow and rule out?

The community guidelines are explicit that “everyone is welcome to use Feeld in a personal capacity”, and that Feeld “cannot allow erotic and sexual solicitation”. They also bar financial domination (FinDom), selling goods or services including ticketed events, fake profiles, catfishing and impersonation, and set zero tolerance for sextortion and non-consensual intimate imagery.

Consent is the core rule: an unambiguous “yes” that “can be retracted at any time”. Members are asked to stay “clear about what you’re seeking”, and Feeld says it “will either warn or remove” people who break the guidelines. Profile images face nudity limits that Feeld attributes to “our partner regulations”, its phrase, not a regulator’s.

What do users say about Feeld and hookups?

In the US search results this desk recorded, the three that rank above Feeld’s own answer are two Reddit threads and a Facebook group post. In them, one r/polyamory poster reports an influx of people seeking casual hookups, and a Facebook group reply says the app is for hookups; others describe different experiences. Those are individual accounts, not counts. Nothing on the Feeld pages this desk read says what share of members want what.

Feeld vs Tinder, Hinge and Bumble for hookups

Feeld is the one of the four whose own app page and FAQ answer the hookup question by name; this desk did not re-read the other three platforms’ pages for this post and relies on this site’s earlier explainers for them. Tinder’s guidelines, as our Tinder explainer set out, allow sexual topics in private chat if everyone agrees. Hinge frames itself around meaningful relationships, per our Hinge explainer, and Bumble offers an “intimacy without commitment” badge, per our Bumble explainer. How Feeld’s verification and consent tools compare with Pure’s is covered in our Feeld and Pure review.

Is Feeld a hookup app? FAQ

Is Feeld a hookup app?

It can be, by Feeld’s own account, but it does not call itself one. Its app page says Feeld “can be used for hookups” and is also used for long-term relationships and friendships; its FAQ says calling itself a hookup app “sounds limiting”. Its community guidelines welcome personal use but do not allow erotic and sexual solicitation, and active consent is “non-negotiable”.

What is the Feeld app used for?

Feeld describes itself as “a dating app for the curious”. Its own pages list uses running from platonic friendships and FWBs to casual fun, long-term relationships and non-monogamy and kink. Members can join solo or as a couple, link profiles with up to five other members, start group chats, and list Desires and Interests describing what they are into.

Is Feeld a dating app?

Yes, in its own words: “Feeld is a dating app, but we’re not like the others.” Its app page says it is for “all kinds of connections, from romantic to platonic to exploratory”. The community guidelines page calls it “an adults-only dating app”, and the FAQ says everyone who joins must be at least 18 years old.

Can you use Feeld without downloading the app?

No. Feeld’s app page says it is only available as a mobile app, downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, and that you need the app to create a profile, browse profiles or chat. Its website carries readable content such as the FAQ, guidelines and magazine, but not profiles.

Adults (18+) only. This desk reports what the apps’ own pages say and does not publish sexually explicit material; on Feeld, in its guidelines’ own words, consent is “an unambiguous ‘yes’” that can be withdrawn at any time.
